Vested is a blog published by Rovia. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We keep it short because we do not do anything unusual with your data.
What we collect and why
Reading
You can read every article on Vested without creating an account or sharing any personal information. We do collect anonymous page-view data through Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) so we can understand which topics are useful. This data is aggregated and not linked to you personally.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address to send you periodic posts. We use Resend to deliver emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
Comments and upvotes
Leaving a comment or upvoting requires signing in with Google. When you sign in we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google and store them alongside your comment. Comments are moderated before they appear publicly. Your email address is never displayed on the site.
Third-party services
- Google OAuth — handles sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — email delivery for newsletters and admin notifications.
- Neon Postgres — stores comments and newsletter subscriptions. Data is hosted in the US.
- Vercel Analytics — anonymous site usage analytics.
- Google Analytics 4 — page-level analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Data retention
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments and associated account data are kept as long as the comment remains on the site. You can request deletion by emailing us at hello@rovia.one.
Cookies
We use cookies only for authentication (to keep you signed in) and for analytics (GA4). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
